Also, its reference section has been closed almost every time I've been there, because there weren't enough staff to open it. Now it's been reopened, but I was told it will stay unstaffed. That's useless. Reference libraries are quite complex and you need people who know how to help you find what you're looking for. But I suppose as they're weeding out all the trained staff, and dumping any useful book, it won't make much difference! The council has to learn the technique of consultation from the St James Library campaign team. Perhaps employ them as consultants who live within the borough instead of hiring outsiders who know nothing about what WF really needs! But we only have to put up with them till the next elections. I was disappointed when she said it was only Saturday afternoon. But that's much better than nothing. Thanks for bringing the books. I enjoyed it and I will come back next time.
